Oh my gosh The concept of sling is great. An app that allows you to watch your favorite shows live and on demand, where ever and when ever, without all the equipment, hidden fees and insane contracts that regular cable a satellite providers are know for. It's a great concept, if sling was able to deliver. They don't though. There's still many channels that sling doesn't offer, like spike and TLC. The on demand shows rarely work, the app usually crashes. Often times it will crash in the middle or towards the end of a show, and the only way to ever see the end is to restart it from the beginning and pray you make it to the end before it crashes again.

I have an existing Samsung Smart TV. I am thinking of dropping cable and getting Sling TV streaming. After doing some reading about alternative ways of getting Sling TV streaming it mentions being compatible with Windows I have a Windows 10 computer.

So, I am trying to figure out if this means that I can download something onto my windows 10 computer and from there get shows to play on my Samsung Smart TV.

I have a Samsung TV about that old, too. I watch Sling through a Roku player on it. The tv alone will not stream Sling. I bought the cheapest Roku player and solved my problem. Pressing the voice search button from within the Sling app was different and better on the Nexus Player than on any other devices I've tested so far. On the other hand, hitting the voice search button on the Roku 3, Amazon Fire TV or Sony TV remote while within the Sling app bounced me back out of the app to perform a cross-platform search.

I prefer the in-app search when I'm actually in an app, and cross-platform when I'm in the main menu system.
